|
|
Hi all!!!
I did some googling, but didn't managed to find any answers.
Bought some heirloom tomatoes plants that was on markdown at Bunnings yesterday. I plant them into my new planter box that was filled with mushroom compost bought from council nursery.
Anyway, they are looking even sadder today, does anyone has any tips to rejuvenate these sad looking witherish plants???
I tried the watering (I have some plant starter added to reduce the shock of transplant) when I transplant it yesterday, then added more topsoil to the compost today (was afraid of the mushroom compost burning the plant) and water it a bit more.
Still not working. _________________

Not sure as I've never grown tomatoes, but I use maxicrop in the water I use on my veggies and it often helps. Also make sure they're getting the right amount of sunlight. _________________

thanks guys, i am worried that the mushroom compost might be a bit too intense for it?
Billy'sMum, tht was what i add into the water, maxicrop plant starter...
all the seedlings that i transplanted yesterday into the planter box withered badly. so i uproot all and reworked the soil.
I naively think that just the mushroom compost will do wonders... guess not.
loosen up the compost all day today and added more topsoil to it. and resow the seeds... _________________

Poopysmom,
I spoke to my inlaws tonight and they said that if they dont respont to watering they may have wilt, which is contaigous to other tomato plants, so if they dont respond u may need to start again with healthier plants.... Hope this helps _________________

my tomatoberries had flowered and growing well, but the sad looking tomatoes plants that i "rescued"
it was a heirloom variety, beefsteak and tigerella... this morning they were partially rejuvenated... the leaves doesnt feel wilty anymore, then by mid morning onwards, sag downwards again... i dont understand. _________________
